The operator programs diameter, cut off length and a steel grade based on the AISI / SAE numbering system and if needed assigns a 8 digit alpha numeric job or part number. These jobs can be stored in memory and called up and only the parts counter needs to be set. Speed, feed and the sawhead position is calculated and optimised for short cycle times and optimum blade life.

The saw head is designed for heavy duty application with massive helical gears and precision saw spindle running in oil and supported by high precision bearings. cutting speeds are infinitely variable through an inverter drive. The saw feed mechanisim utilizes an AC Servo/ ball screw drive for rapid and precise movements, and incorporates a pair of precision heavy duty linear guides for long term cutting accuracy.
